The UK Data Protection Act (2018) defines

<blockquote>“‘de-identified’ personal data as personal data that has undergone pseudonymisation as defined in the UK GDPR rather than (for example) anonymous information.”<ref>https://ico.org.uk/media/about-the-ico/consultations/2619862/anonymisation-intro-and-first-chapter.pdf</ref></blockquote>

Thus, when an identifier is “de-identified” it is no longer directly linked to an individual’s identity and hence “[[Pseudonymous|pseudonymous]].” When all identifiers have been removed from information, it is “[[Anonymous|anonymous]].”
